In a zombie-ravaged Texas, one arrogant orange cat is the sole sensory scout standing between fifty survivors and an undead horde. He considers this everybody's problem except his own.

When the undead breach their Austin sanctuary, Bastion and Sarah are swept into a human caravan grinding west through gridlocked highways toward a military safe zone in the Texas Hill Country.
